TOURNAMENT RULES
2010

RULES OF PLAY
The CT Charger Summer Showcase is a LIMITED BODY CHECKING TOURNAMENT. Limited body
contact is most simply defined as always playing the ball if there is ever a choice
between body and man. Limited body contact is allowed by defenders while defending
the goal in applied pressure situations. BLATANT BIG HITS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
National Federation High School Rules (counts included) will be in effect. This means
there will be 20 second count to clear the midline and a 10 second count to advance the
ball into your offensive box upon crossing the midfield line.

GAME INFORMATION
•All games will consist of 2-22 minute running time halves with a 5 min half time.
•There will be no substitution horns during the game, all subs will be made on
the fly.
•No time outs allowed.
•All penalties will be served, and time serving penalties will result in an extra
man opportunity.
•All teams are responsible for balls on their offensive end line (use your
backup goalie to stand on your offensive end line).
•Ties will result in a three minute sudden death overtime period. If the score
is tied after that then the game will result in a tie.
•Time will be kept by general site horn.
